Her journey with altitude began while running a&nbsp;rescue post in&nbsp;Machermo, in&nbsp;the Gokyo Ri Valley of the Nepalese Himalayas, at&nbsp;an altitude of 4,500 meters. Over the past two decades, she has taken part in&nbsp;professional Himalayan expeditions, supporting, among others, the Polish ascent of Everest in&nbsp;2006 and an attempt to&nbsp;summit K2 in&nbsp;2010. For over 15 years, she has been working with the agency Adventure24.pl in&nbsp;Poland and with numerous travel companies in&nbsp;the United Kingdom. Since 2010, she has been conducting mountain and high-altitude medicine training courses together with Tomek Kobielski.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element et_pb_text et_pb_text_3  et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>Patrycja\u2019s greatest passion is helping people with medical conditions reach high altitudes and optimizing ascent strategies with a&nbsp;strong focus on&nbsp;safety. In&nbsp;2005, she earned a&nbsp;diploma in&nbsp;travel and tropical medicine from Mahidol University in&nbsp;Bangkok (Thailand). Before starting her specialization, she worked in&nbsp;Uganda and Nepal. After returning to&nbsp;Europe, she completed a&nbsp;second-level specialization in&nbsp;cardioanesthesiology and intensive care, supplemented by&nbsp;emergency medicine (HEMS) as&nbsp;well as&nbsp;patient transport and repatriation medicine for critically ill patients in&nbsp;the United Kingdom.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element et_pb_text et_pb_text_5  et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>On&nbsp;a&nbsp;daily basis, she works as&nbsp;a&nbsp;consultant cardioanesthesiologist and intensive care specialist in&nbsp;the cardiac surgery department at&nbsp;an academic hospital in&nbsp;Plymouth, United Kingdom. In&nbsp;addition to&nbsp;her hospital work, she serves as&nbsp;a&nbsp;consultant for the transport and repatriation of critically ill patients \u2013 both domestically (ambulance and helicopter transports) and internationally (air transport).<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_pb_module et_d4_element et_pb_text et_pb_text_6  et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p>An off-piste skiing and ski touring enthusiast, she divides her time between working in&nbsp;the United Kingdom and the winter season in&nbsp;Val d\u2019Is\u00e8re in&nbsp;the French Alps, where she has lived at&nbsp;an altitude of 1,950 meters for over 15 years.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div><div class=\"et_d4_element et_pb_section et_pb_section_2
